The Schultz ZycraPulse Massage Lounge Chair is a high-priced massage chair with almost all of the features you’d expect from its price range.
In terms of massage functionality, it’s got everything you could hope for. When it comes to the bells and whistles, they’ve decided to skip a few.
For most chairs, that’s not a problem. But at this price point, you kind of want the chair to make you tea and coffee as well.
So what’s missing, and how much can the chair cost? Find out in our Schultz ZycraPulse Massage Lounge Chair review.
Like we said before, the Schultz ZycraPulse Massage Lounge Chair has all of your massaging needs met:
One-touch zero gravity recline
Put yourself in a weightless position at the push of a button. “Zero gravity recline” is designed to take all of the weight off your back, hip, knees, and ankles. This helps the massage be more effective.
The head and feet can also recline independently of one another. You don’t always need to be in a zero-gravity position to use the chair.
Five pre-programmed massage sessions
Pre-programmed massages are the lifeblood of massage chairs, and the Schultz ZycraPulse Massage Lounge Chair has some fairly standard options:
- Deep tissue massage
- Gentle muscle-loosening massage
- Full body massage
- Upper body massage
- Lower body massage
Five massage techniques
The Schultz ZycraPulse Massage Lounge Chair features some familiar massage techniques with some slightly different names:
- Shiatsu
- Knead
- Flap
- Knead AND flap
- Knock
Five back massage options
These are specifically designed to target your, well, back, and work out kinks and knots. You can use these settings to precisely target areas on your back to get just the right massage for you.
Heat therapy
Once you’ve taken the weight off with the zero-gravity recline, try turning on the heat pads to start loosening up your muscles. You’ll also improve circulation and generally improve the results of your massage.
Two memory settings
Program your own massage sessions using the different massage techniques and intensities.
Adjustable intensities
The rollers and air bags have an impressive eleven levels of intensity.
At this price-range, intensity is controlled by moving the rollers closer or further from you. It’s a nice touch, and a lot more user-friendly than just adding or taking away layers of padding that you see on lower-priced models.
Adjustable positioning
You can also adjust the exact location of the roller heads to ensure they’re really getting where you need them to. Adjust the width and height of the rollers to exactly suit your needs.
Sole rollers
The chair really is full-body, even down to the soles of your feet. The sole rollers can be activated or de-activated. We struggle to think of a situation where we wouldn’t want our feet to get massaged while we’re in there.
Remote control
A nice, intuitive remote control makes getting your perfect massage a breeze.
Technical features
The Schultz ZycraPulse Massage Lounge Chair weighs an impressive 220lbs/100kgs. That is not a light chair, but it’s also not the heaviest we’ve seen.
It’s 46.5 inches high, 30.1 inches wide, and 70 inches long. So it’s not terribly small, either. You better have some decent room in your home.

Cost
Here we hit one of the biggest snags in our Schultz ZycraPulse Massage Lounge Chair review.
The price?
It’s actually one of the more expensive chairs out there.
The Schultz ZycraPulse Massage Lounge Chair regularly gets onto “best massage chair” lists, but it also has a tendency to top the price range on those lists, too. So it’s a testament to how good the chair is, but also how expensive.
Schultz ZycraPulse massage chair pros and cons
The Schultz ZycraPulse Massage Lounge Chair has a lot of great features. It’s definitely going to give you a nice, thorough massage.
It has all of the preprogrammed settings you could want, and any chair this expensive needs to let you create your own custom massage sessions. The Schultz ZycraPulse Massage Lounge Chair doesn’t disappoint there.
But there are some considerable downsides when you weigh it against the cost.
For example, the chair doesn’t have Bluetooth or an MP3 player. On a lot of chairs, that would barely worth mentioning. But when you’re paying this much for a chair, you expect some bells and whistles.
Plenty of cheaper chairs have features that add to the ambience of getting a massage. It’s not just about the rollers and airbags, it’s also about the mood around it.
Most chair manufacturers realise that music is a great way to set the tone, so it’s disappointing to not see the option on such a high-priced model.
On a similar note, many higher-end massage chairs include a means to massage the head. Some of these use air bag straps that you secure around your head. Others use raised headsets.
That the ZycraPulse Massage Chair is lacking these features really feels like a let down. Again, for most chairs it wouldn’t matter, but at this cost?

Conclusion
So how do we conclude this Schultz ZycraPulse Massage Lounge Chair review?
If you’re after a great massage from a chair, this will certainly deliver it. You’ll get a deep or gentle or whole body or partial massage really just the way you like it.
But you’ll get a great massage from a lot of other chairs, with a few extra features on top, for significantly less money. And that’s without sacrificing the quality of the massage, to boot.
So while it’s certainly a great massage chair, the Schultz ZycraPulse Massage Lounge Chair is ultimately let down by a feature set that seems behind its more affordable competition.
