This Human Touch iJoy Active 2.0 massage chair review will probably be a bit of a shocker for you if you don’t believe that cheap massage chairs and unicorns exist. Ok, I can’t confirm unicorns – but I might just have a massage chair to prove my point, and it’s actually decent, albeit not perfect.
For a price tag that is way below $1000 (keep reading for a final reveal!), you can get this sleek, compact model that provides a great way to relax after a long day at work. It will fit in any room, providing surprisingly advanced massage techniques to help you unwind and enjoy gentle therapeutic strokes that mimic human touch (hence the name).
As you will soon find out from my comprehensive iJoy Active 2.0 massage chair review, this chair provides a great option for those with limited funds to enjoy life changing benefits of regular massages!
Human Touch iJoy Active 2.0 massage chair features overview
As I’ve pointed out earlier in this Human Touch iJoy Active 2.0 review, the selling point of the chair is mimicking the hand techniques of expert massage therapists. There are three ways of motion available: Stretch, Orbit and Glide. Combined, those deliver remarkable results, utilising a range of styles:
- Stretch relieves tension and muscle aches, which is achieved by lifting and stretching muscles at the same time. There are multiple benefits of stretching, from improving lymph circulation to promoting healthy blood supply to the extremities. The chair’s creators also claim that stretching helps flush out toxins and pleasantly stimulate nerve tissue in the area.
- Orbital strokes present a complex, satisfying combination of seamless glides over the entire spine, reducing back pain considerably. There is absolutely no annoying pinching or excessive friction here, only soothing motions promoting blood circulation and releasing muscle tension.
- The glide massage techniques deliver constant pressure while also moving up and down your spine. This helps warm up and loosen the muscles, preparing you for a deeper massage session.
Another technology worth mentioning in this Human Touch iJoy Active 2.0 massage chair review is called FlexGlide. It promises to deliver massage experience “like never before”. No pinching, no friction associated with typical massage chairs, especially those on a cheaper side. The FlexGlide experience can be compared with upgrading from a dry to a warm oil massage. Described by the creators as “the glow of ultimate relaxation”, FlexGlide makes this super affordable model truly shine.
HT iJoy Active 2.0 massage chair technical characteristics
Not many Human Touch iJoy Active 2.0 massage chair reviews explicitly mention the device’s dimensions, which I find extremely important. After all, how else are you going to determine if the chair will fit within the designated space?
So here it goes:
Chair Size (upright): 35’’L x 27’’W x 37”H
Chair Size (reclined): 42”L x 27”W x 31” H
Chair Size (folded): 34”L x 27”W x 21” H
As you can see, the device is quite compact. I can also add that it’s very light, and unlike most chairs, this one can probably be installed by one person. For transportation purposes, I’d still recommend ordering delivery or reaching for a friend’s help – as relatively compact as it is, the device, being a modern massage chair with quite a few features, is still heavy.
Human Touch iJoy Active 2.0 massage chair price
Of course, my Human Touch iJoy Active 2.0 massage chair review would be incomplete without discussing the price! In the beginning of this review, I promised that the price is significantly below $1000, but just how significantly?
Well, I suggest you grab a seat.
Ok, I warned you! According to my research, on average, the Human Touch iJoy Active 2.0 massage chair retails for $550. That’s right – no missed digits anywhere! There’s even more: if you lurk hard enough, you will likely find this device even cheaper, although I wouldn’t hope for a discount greater than 10% if you’re looking for a brand new massage chair.
As the chair is on a cheaper side, be extra cautious when making a purchase online. Make sure you’re dealing with a reputable retailer that will handle your personal details well!
Purchasing a lower cost massage chair may be compared with booking cheap flights – it will get you from A to B, sometimes with great comfort, but extras always come for additional cost. The chair is technically compatible with a few Human Touch accessories, but those come separately and cost quite a bit. At the same time, if included, those would balloon up the chair price, which would completely defeat the purpose of selling a super affordable massage device!
For instance, there is an iJoy foot massager available for $129. Its existence also confirms that the chair doesn’t have in-built foot massage features – I was kind of worried I just missed them…
Human Touch iJoy Active 2.0 massage chair pros and cons
To wrap up my Human Touch iJoy Active 2.0 massage chair review, here are my final thoughts, namely pros and cons of the device.
- The price is the main selling point here. It’s so affordable there is no proper word for it!
- The model is also compact and light, which makes it relatively easy to install
- Features that are present are all executed well, there is indeed no pinching or friction, just nice massage
- The features are extremely limited
- No intuitive controls
- Skimpy design
Overall, if your needs are really and truly as basic as getting some quality back and shoulder rubs after a long day, this chair might be just what you need. If you’re after something more advanced with a wide array of proven therapeutic benefits, you will likely need to pay more – considerably more.
Hope you enjoyed my Human Touch iJoy Active 2.0 massage chair review, and have a wonderful day!
